CANTON, Ga. -- The Georgia Child Abduction Response Team has joined the search Monday for 7-year-old Jorelys Rivera, who's been missing since Friday.

Her mother told 11Alive News on Monday that she actually hadn't seen her daughter since she left for work Thursday night. By the time she got home Friday morning, Joselin Rivera said Jorelys had already left for school. The girl had been in the care of a teenage family friend when she disappeared Friday afternoon.

More than 50 representatives from several state agencies, including the Department of Corrections, Department of Probation and Paroles and the Department of National Resources, have partnered in the search. The search team's size was expected to double or triple on Monday.

"They come together in a coordinated way and bring their unique skills to this search," said GBI Director Vernon Keenan.

Canton Police have also asked the FBI to help, and the Cherokee County Sheriff's Foundation is offering a $5,000 reward for information to help generate leads.
