Death Row inmate in Jacksonville case found dead |

A Death Row inmate convicted of a Jacksonville double murder was found dead in his cell Monday. William Frank Davis, 29, was unresponsive and alone when he was found in his cell at Union Correctional Institution, according to the state Department of Corrections. Privacy laws prohibit the agency from commenting on details of the death, said department spokeswoman Jo Ellyn Rackleff.. An autopsy will be performed and the case reviewed. Davis was convicted of first-degree murder in the stabbing deaths of Alice Albin, 47, and her daughter Loretta Wren, 16, in August 2003. He was sentenced in 2006. Read More. |
