OK To Bring Back Inmate Labor Program |

TULSA, Okla. -- The Oklahoma Department of Corrections is bringing back its work program for state inmates. Budget cuts brought the program to a halt when the department canceled its contract with a company that housed inmates assigned to work details in communities across the state. The Tulsa World reports that five cities are already on the path to having inmates assigned to help with cleanup and landscaping chores -- Collinsville, Glenpool, Jenks, Owasso and Tulsa.
