| Prison sewer overflows into Broad River |

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A pump failure on Sunday morning sent sanitary sewer from the Broad River Correctional Institution into the Broad River, according to South Carolina Department of Corrections officials. The overflow happened at approximately 11:00 a.m. due to a pump failure at the lift station located in the area of 4460 Broad River Rd.
