Prison Worker Arrested, Accused of Smuggling Contraband |

SAN DIEGO - A medical office technician for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation in Imperial County was arrested Tuesday for allegedly soliciting and accepting payments from prisoners and others to smuggle contraband into the prison where he worked. A federal grand jury in San Diego handed up an indictment last week against David Santos Zamudio II, charging the 28-year-old El Centro resident with honest services wire fraud. Read More. |
