12 injured when prison bus overturns in middle Georgia |

A dozen people were injured late Thursday morning when a prisoner transport bus overturned on I-16 in middle Georgia. The crash happened about 10:30 a.m. near Mile Marker 30 in Twiggs County southeast of Macon. Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright told the AJC that the state Department of Corrections bus was eastbound on I-16 "when a passenger car cut in front of the bus, causing the driver to take evasive action." He said the bus rolled over onto its side, coming to rest off the right side of the roadway. Read More. |
