| Convicted murderer, sex offender being re-released |

NEILLSVILLE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A convicted murderer and sex offender is being re-released in Clark County this week. The Racine Correctional Institution says Gary Thiede will be released this Wednesday, January 11th, 2012. Thiede was convicted of killing 16-year-old Robert Aponte in Jackson County in 1988. He was later convicted of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl he knew in Clark County. He was released from prison in 2010, but was arrested in July 2011 for viewing pornographic material on his cell phone, which is a violation of his extended supervision rules. Read More. |
