CARSON CITY, Nev. -- Nevada inmates will soon be wearing shoes made by California cons. The Nevada Board of Examiners on Tuesday approved a $200,000, two-year contract with California Prison Industries to supply shoes for Nevada inmates. Department of Corrections officials say the agency had been buying sneakers for inmates from various vendors, costing about $9.00 a pair. Read More. |
