Department of Corrections sends out another 545 layoff warnings |

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation has issued 545 layoff warning notices to employees, including 140 correctional officers. Department officials said in this email that the letters went out Thursday and Friday, prompted by the penal system's shrinking inmate population.
