Allegheny County Jail gets new acting warden |

The Allegheny County Jail has a new acting warden starting today, and officials hope this will be the last caretaker before a permanent warden is named. William S. Stickman III started his career as a corrections officer at the State Correctional Institution Pittsburgh, and retired in 2007 as deputy secretary of corrections for the western region, said Amie Downs, spokeswoman for county Executive Rich Fitzgerald.
