Just minutes before Warren County sheriff's deputies forced their way through the back door of 2410 Shamrock Drive on Sunday, they heard a crashing noise.

The noise was the sound of a woman's head being repeatedly bashed into a wall.

Deputies received a 911 call for help early Sunday morning to the same address where they answered a domestic violence call last month, sheriff's office communications manager Stephen Harmon said.

When they arrived at 4 a.m. Sunday morning, Penni Ward, 36, told deputies that Jackie Harris, 31, was intoxicated and awakened her from a sound sleep by dragging her out of bed by her hair to accuse her of cheating on him, according to Harris' arrest citation.

Ward told deputies that Harris punched, kicked, pushed her and pulled her hair over a two-hour period, according to the citation. Harris broke Ward's cellphone so that she could not call police, the citation said. At some point, Ward convinced Harris to let her call the man he accused her of cheating with so that she prove to him she was not cheating. She instead called 911, according to the arrest citation.

There were children home at the time who slept through the incident, Harmon said.
