McALESTER, Okla. (AP) - Department of Corrections officials say an inmate serving a life sentence for the death of an Okmulgee man has been found hanged in his cell at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary. Warden Randy Workman's assistant, Terry Crenshaw, says 26-year-old Sidney J. Beard was discovered unresponsive just after the 10 p.m. head count on Saturday.
