Escaped inmate captured by authorities in Ohio |

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — An inmate convicted murderer who escaped from a minimum-security state prison ranch in Alabama has been apprehended by authorities in Ohio. The Alabama Department of Corrections says 42-year-old Timothy Richards was captured unarmed on Wednesday. Richards could not be found at his assigned bunk and could not be located during an inmate count at the State Cattle Ranch in Hale County, near Greensboro early Sunday.
