An Augusta Transitional Center inmate who walked away from his work detail Saturday was still on the loose Sunday, authorities said. Department of Corrections spokeswoman Gwendolyn Hogan confirmed there was still a statewide lookout in effect for 44-year-old Rodney Maurice Bowen. Bowen was serving a 10-year sentence for forgery in the first degree out of Bartow County, according to the Department of Corrections Web site. He was incarcerated in October 2009. Read More. |
