A former Savannah-Chatham Metro Police officer was sentenced Monday to 18 months in federal prison on extortion charges, according to a Savannah Morning News report. Floyd B. Sawyer Jr. was also fined $1,000 and sentenced to three years in a supervised release program after his prison term ends. Read More. |
