South Georgia Prison Under Lockdown After Fight

NICHOLLS, Georgia. (AP) - Corrections officials have placed parts of a south Georgia prison under lockdown after a fight involving several inmates.

Department of Corrections spokeswoman Gwendolyn Hogan says authorities locked down parts of Coffee County Correctional Facility after a fight on Saturday left several inmates hospitalized.

She says the inmates received non-life threatening injuries and were returned to the facility the same day after being treated at local hospitals.
