Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard honored seven members of his department during a ceremony Tuesday on the county campus in Pontiac. Deputy John Bennington of Brighton was honored as Corrections Officer of the Year. "Since 2002 he has been an integral part of the training unit’s success," said Undersheriff Mike McCabe during a presentation of the award.
