HAMILTON, TN -- State and federal authorities are searching for a Morgan County man they say escaped today from the state work release center in Hamilton. Brian Corbert, a spokesman for the Alabama Department of Corrections, said the search began early today for Samuel Brandon Mitchell, 33. Corbert said Mitchell was missing during a bed count at 2:30 a.m. He said officers searched the Hamilton facility and later declared him to be an escapee. Corbett said Mitchell is a white male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds and has blue eyes and brown hair. Read More. |
