Two men have escaped from Mountainview Youth Correctional Facility in Clinton Township, the New Jersey Department of Corrections confirmed this morning. Michael Bentley, 23, who had been jailed since Jan. 13 on a theft conviction, and Corey Agostarola, 21, who had been jailed since March 2011 on burglary and weapons convictions, were last seen at an 8 p.m. Sunday head county, department spokeswoman Deirdre Frekenheuer said today. Both were reported missing at 9:30, she said. They were in the full minimum security section of the prison, she said. Department officials didn't initially have more information about the escape, she said. Bentley is white, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, about 160 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair, according to the department's website. He has previously done time on burglary convictions. He would have been eligible for parole March 13. His latest conviction is out of Morris County, but department records don't provide a date of the offense. He was serving a five-year sentence which included 2007 and 2008 burglaries in Passaic County. Read More. |
