RICHMOND – As part of Governor Bob McDonnell’s Re-entry Initiative, the Virginia Department of Corrections will host the first statewide Offender Re-entry Conference in Williamsburg this Wednesday and Thursday, May 23rd and 24th. The conference theme is “Keeping Communities Safe: Reducing Crime through Offender Re-entry Strategies.” The conference will provide an opportunity for law enforcement professionals, service providers, faith based organizations and community leaders to learn more about the important role they play in the re-entry process.
