CO Allegedly Shoots Intruder in His Riverhead Home |

NY -- A Suffolk County corrections officer allegedly shot an intruder after he confronted him in his Riverhead home, police say. According to Riverhead Town Police, they received a call at approximately 4:40 a.m. on Saturday morning from John Kwasna, 45, of Old Farm Road in Riverhead, stating that he confronted a man in his home. It is unclear whether the alleged intruder was armed. Kwasna, who was armed with a handgun, allegedly fired a shot as the individual ran towards him. Read More. |
