The inmate reportedly left the heroin near an overpass on Park Avenue where the crew was working. It was discovered by K-9 Robbie, who "hit on it within minutes," said Department of Corrections Officer Joe Forgue. Forgue and his partner, David Perry, along with Correctional Officer lt. Michael Reis and Litter Crew Supervisor CO Michael Melucci helped investigate. A search the previous day near Texas Roadhouse and Route 10, where the crew had worked, turned up nothing.
