Mayor Francis Slay today appointed Dale Glass as acting corrections commissioner, taking the place of the removed but not-yet-fired Gene Stubblefield.

Glass is a St. Louis University grad, decorated U.S. Army vet and 28-year state corrections worker, who retired in 2009 as deputy warden of the Missouri Department of Corrections facility in Pacific, Mo.
