MDOC Commissioner Christopher Epps Selected to Present Before United States Senate Judiciary Committee

JacksonThe United States Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Human Rights today announced the selection of witnesses for a hearing on “Reassessing Solitary Confinement: The Human Rights, Fiscal and Public Safety Consequences.” Mississippi Department of Corrections Commissioner and president-elect of the American Correctional Association, Christopher Epps, was selected to present testimony at the hearing which will take place at the Dirksen Senate Office Building on June 19, 2012 in Washington, D.C.

The hearing will take place on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. and may be viewed via webcast at: http://www.judiciary.senate.gov/hearings/hearing.cfm?id=6517e7d97c06eac4ce9f60b09625ebe8
