Prison worker accused of sex with inmate a 22-year employee |

A 22-year employee of the department of corrections was arrested after authorities were notified that he was having consensual sexual relations with a female prisoner at the Sussex Community Corrections Center in Georgetown, state police and department of corrections officials said today. State police began an investigation into the allegation on June 29th after a 22-year-old female prisoner disclosed to prison officials that she and the officer had become involved in a sexual relationship. The victim told authorities shortly after entering the work-release program that the three encounters occurred in the unit in Georgetown where she was housed from March 7 to May 23. Daniel L. Mann, 49, of Dover, was arrested in Georgetown on Tuesday on three counts of Sexual Relations in a Detention Facility.
