NJ -- During the July 10, Union Township committee meeting Officer Fernando Trejo was awarded a Certificate of Recognition. Officer Fernando Trejo served with The New Jersey Department of Corrections as a Senior Corrections Officer before joining the Township of Union Police Department. Since his graduation from the John H. Stamler Police Academy in December of 2007, Fernando has been assigned to the Patrol Bureau. Fernando has received numerous awards for his acts of bravery. He has also been instrumental in assisting with the training of new police officers and the department’s emergency response team. In January of 1994, Fernando joined The New Jersey National Guard. In 2005, he was deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Read More. |
