| CO accused of smuggling drugs |

KEENE, N.H. - A Cheshire County corrections officer was arrested, accused of smuggling drugs to an inmate at Cheshire County House of Corrections. Shane Stockwell, 23, turned himself in to Keene police Thursday. Sgt. Jason Short with the Keene Police Department said, "It's alleged that he made arrangements with at least one inmate to smuggle in narcotic drugs, maybe other contraband." Police launched their investigation last week at the jail. Using surveillance cameras, they determined that someone was dropping off drugs under Stockwell's car. "And then he would go out and pick them up and smuggle them into the jail to distribute to whomever was the person that hired him, in a sense," Short said. Read More. |
