PONTIAC, Ill. (AP) — The Illinois Department of Corrections says it is investigating the deaths of two inmates at a prison in central Illinois earlier this month. The department says that 65-year-old Richard Anderson and Jerry Singer, who was 60, both died the weekend of July 7 at the maximum-security Pontiac Correctional Center in Pontiac.
