An inmate at Albuquerque's (N.M.) Metropolitan Detention Center has been accused of stabbing and wounding an officer, possibly with a pen. The officer was treated last weekend for a minor stab wound to the hand. A criminal complaint says he was stabbed after a scuffle when he was trying to search the cell of 20-year-old inmate Joshua Silva. Officers found a pen tied to Silva's wrist and believe it might have caused the stab wound. Silva has denied stabbing the officer. The complaint says Silva told authorities he and the officer had an ongoing feud and the officer threatened him. |
