A former D.C. Department of Corrections officer has been sentenced for assaulting a D.C. jail inmate, officials said. Victor Bell, 25, was sentenced Thursday to 10 months in jail and two additional months of home confinement, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. He pleaded guilty in April in D.C. federal court to a criminal civil rights charge.
