Former NC prison guard sentenced for contraband |

GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- Prosecutors say a former corrections officer at the Butner Federal Correctional Complex has been sentenced for smuggling contraband. Thirty-nine-year-old Clyon Hinnant of Raleigh pleaded guilty to accepting bribes and conspiracy to commit wire fraud and mail fraud. Hinnant was sentenced to four years in prison, followed by three years of supervised probation. Read More. |
