| Escaped inmate involved in police standoff in Camden |

Alabama -- The Southern Inn Motel in Camden was the scene of a police standoff overnight. Police tell WSFA 12 News that escaped inmate Andrew Mount was in one of the motel rooms with a woman. It is uncertain at this time whether the woman was being held hostage or not. The area around the motel has been blocked off. Andrew Mount is an escapee from the Mobile Community Based Facility. According to the Alabama Department of Corrections, Mount was was determined missing on Sunday evening, when he was not present for an institutional bed check and could not be located during a search of the building and outside perimeter.
