New law changes conditions of probation and parole |

A Missouri House bill went into effect on Tuesday that could allow some convicted criminals to be released from prison earlier. The new law allows inmates to earn credits toward shorter sentences for complying with the conditions of their parole. Supporters of the bill say it will help save taxpayers' money by reducing the number of non-violent inmates that the state has to pay for. Read More. |
