Jobs center to aid women ex-offenders |

A jobs center to help women ex-offenders find and keep jobs was introduced today by county officials. New York - The Utica-based program will offer training and employment services to female adults after their release from prison as they make the transition back into their communities. Spearheaded by the Workforce Investment Board of Herkimer, Madison and Oneida Counties, the project includes partnerships with the Oneida County Correctional Facility, Mohawk Valley Community College, Women’s Employment Resource Center, BOCES and the Resource Center for Independent Living, which will be home base for the program.
