Torrington– The Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution (WMCI) with assistance from Wyoming Cowboy ChalleNGe Academy, Wyoming National Guard, Torrington Police Department, Torrington Fire Department, Torrington Emergency Medical Services, and Goshen County Sheriff’s Office, will be conducting an Emergency Preparedness Exercise Drill on September 14. This exercise is scheduled to take place on the grounds of WMCI. The exercise will simulate real-life situations which will increase the readiness of this facility in the event of an actual incident. The exercise will help WMCI identify potential areas for response and coordination during an emergency situation, as well as potential areas of focus for improvement. The exercise will not jeopardize the safety and security of the institution or impact the surrounding community. The exercise should last from about 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Any questions concerning the exercise can be directed to Jeri Covello, Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution Field Public Information Officer at 307-532-6648. |
