Longtime warden retires |

Lansing, Kan. — Several years into his career with the Kansas Department of Corrections, Dave McKune decided he wanted to be the warden of the Lansing Correctional Facility by the time he was 35. McKune didn’t make it by the age of 35. But he did become the warden of LCF and has stayed in that position for 21 years. McKune, who’s the longest serving warden in the prison’s history, will retire at the end of this week. “I’m going to miss the people,” he said. Read More. |
