| Fox Lake prison marks 50th anniversary |

FOX LAKE — Wisconsin Department of Corrections officials, past wardens and staff held a special ceremony at Fox Lake Correctional Institution this week to share stories and mark the 50th anniversary of the opening of the institution “FLCI has been an innovator in many areas of corrections. However it is its educational programming that has made it a unique asset to the Department of Corrections and the Wisconsin taxpayer,” said DOC Secretary Gary Hamblin. “FLCI is a strong example of the kinds of investments our agency has been making. The programming that is offered inside these walls optimizes each inmate’s chances at a successful reentry.” Read More. |
