| Allegheny County names new jail warden |

A former Washington, D.C., corrections official has been named warden of the Allegheny County Jail. Orlando L. Harper was picked after a nationwide search. He'll start Oct. 15. Harper's resume includes being deputy warden for operations at the Washington, D.C., Department of Corrections where he began as a security officer, as well as the Army. He is a certified correctional manager from the American Correctional Association and a certified National Institute of Corrections instructor. Read More. |
