Illinois prison populations hit all-time high |

SPRINGFIELD (WREX) - There are more people in Illinois prisons than ever before. According to state records analyzed by the Associated Press, the population of Illinois inmates rose to 49,154 this past weekend, 19 inmates more than the previous record, which was set on October 6, 2011.
