Powder in Monroe prison mail room judged not hazardous |

MONROE, WA -- Hazardous materials crews from around Snohomish County were summoned Monday morning to the Monroe Correctional Complex after a worker reported contact with an unknown powder in the outgoing mail. The mail room at the Twin Rivers Unit was emptied and sealed off while officials investigated, said Selena Davis, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Corrections. Read More. |
