Federal jury sides with Michigan inmate over banned calls to Middle East |

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A federal jury determined that the state Department of Corrections had no justification for refusing to allow an inmate to call family and friends in Jordan and Romania. “It’s an important constitutional right – people should be able to call their family,” attorney Daniel Manville said by telephone.
