Wyoming Honor Farm selects Employees of the Second Quarter
By Wyoming Department of Corrections
Published: 10/14/2012

Riverton –Warden Michael Pacheco has announced Officer Mario Holcomb and Barbara Hall have been selected as the employees of the second quarter for the Wyoming Honor Farm.

Holcomb started his career in corrections at WHF on February 17, 2006 as a correctional officer. He left the department and moved back to the state of Washington in November 2009. He rejoined the department as an officer at the Wyoming Women’s Center in December 2010 and transferred back to the WHF on March 1, 2012.

Since his transfer back to WHF, he has not only improved the security threat group team, but his drive to improve the STG program has positively impacted the department as a whole. Holcomb displayed leadership and dedication while deployed to WHCC to assist in the apprehension of the escaped inmate despite having to put in many extra hours. He has taken the initiative on his own to assist new employees with their duties and he is always willing to share his experiences with those new employees.

Hall began her correctional career at WHF on October 9, 1996. During her tenure with the department, Hall has worked as fiscal processing worker, administration specialist, financial statistical technician and as an accountant at the WHF. She also assumed control of the warehouse as an additional duty during the transition period between Jeff Martin’s promotion and the hiring of Lee Lange.

Those who nominated her said her workload has increased three-fold since July because of the extra duties she has taken on. It was noted that Hall fills in everywhere she is needed and in almost every position from warehouse, kitchen, canteen, business office and a many more. She is often heard saying “Oh, don’t worry, I can do that.”
