| Salinas woman who ran drugs for gangs gets 14 years |

California - A Salinas woman will spend 14 years in prison after admitting she transported drugs for members of the Nuestra Familia prison gang, federal prosecutors announced this week. On Monday, Rebecca Guzman, 27, was sentenced in the Sacramento courtroom of Judge William Shubb after she pleaded guilty to transporting drug money, methamphetamine and cocaine for the gang beginning in early 2005 and continuing into 2006. Evidence at a previous trail in the case indicated Guzman was one of the drivers of a green Honda Accord that was modified with hidden compartments to store drugs and cash. During the years she was under surveillance, Guzman drove to the Moreno Valley and delivered drugs to gang associates in Salinas. Read More. |
