ROMULUS (AP) -- An upstate New York prison has been locked down after an inmate fight escalated into a melee with guards. The state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision says Five Points Correctional Facility in Seneca County will be locked down five days as the brawl is investigated and searches are completed. The fight started just after 9 p.m. Sunday when inmates turned on corrections officers trying to stop an assault in the yard. Read More. |
