A third prison officer has been charged in connection to a prison break two weeks ago at the Bill Clayton Detention Center in Littlefield, Texas. Detention Center employee Roy Soto is now charged with permitting and facilitating escape, along with Iyvonne de la Garza. Soto was arrested last Sunday and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
Prison officer Tammy Harper and de la Garza's brother, Rodrick Sandoval are also charged for hindering apprehension and prosecution.
Authorities believe the three officers and Sandoval helped two inmates escape the Detention Center. The inmates apparently cut their way through two layers of fence and razor wire with a cutting tool. Meanwhile, the inmates are now charged with escape.
