Iowa man accused of impersonating officer |

WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) — A 26-year-old Cedar Rapids man has been accused of impersonating a corrections officer. The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports that Steven Siegel was arrested after trying to buy a car in Waterloo on Saturday. Police reports say Siegel had a holstered BB pistol with him at RPM Motors and placed a fake badge on a counter while writing a check. Court records say Siegel told a dealership employee that he was a corrections officer who was hunting for an inmate who had escaped from a facility in Cedar Rapids. Read More. |
