Additional monitoring of high risk sex offenders part of Wisconsin trick-or-treat safety plan |

MADISON - This Halloween the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC) will again be working with local law enforcement agencies across the state to closely monitor sex offenders on probation or parole and help keep children safe during Trick-or-Treat activities. Operations are planned throughout the state where teams of DOC Probation and Parole Agents and local law enforcement officers will join forces during local Halloween Trick-or-Treat activities and conduct random home visits of high risk sex offenders. Any sex offenders in violation of the “Halloween Restrictions” will be placed into custody. “Halloween is a perfect opportunity to discuss safety with children that can be practiced throughout the whole year,” says Grace Roberts, Director of Sex Offender Programs for Wisconsin DOC.
