| 20 new officers will be sworn in at MCSO graduation ceremony |

MOBILE, Alabama -- Twenty new officers will start their careers as part of the Mobile County Sheriff's Office correction officer graduation at 3 p.m. today, according to MCSO public information officer Lori Myles. The ceremony will be held in the conference room at the MCSO administration building at 510 South Royal Street. The to-be graduates have completed two months of on-the-job training and two-weeks of intensive training, Myles said. After graduation, many of the officers will work midnight shift assignments for continued on-the-job training. "New officers are routinely assigned to 12-hour night shifts because the work load is much slower and better suited to train our personnel," said Mobile County Sheriff Sam Cochran. Read More. |
