| Glens Falls man to serve 3 years for injuring corrections officers |

QUEENSBURY , NY-- A Glens Falls man who hurt two guards at Warren County Jail when he became upset they were searching his cell has pleaded guilty to a felony assault count. Matthew T. Poulos, 31, likely faces 3 years in state prison when sentenced next month by Warren County John Hall. He pleaded guilty in connection with a Sept. 14 incident in the jail that left one officer with a sprained back and another with a sprained ankle. Poulos, a two-time felon who was in jail for violating parole in a 2009 drug conviction, became angry as officers conducted a routine contraband search, according to the Warren County Sheriff's Office. He also pleaded guilty in 2009 after he injured a correction officer in another attack at the Warren County Jail. Warren County District Attorney Kate Hogan said Poulos will also have to make restitution for medical costs incurred by the officers. Read More. |
