Charlotte Co. deputy, corrections officer give up vacation to help Sandy victims

CHARLOTTE CO., Fla. - A sheriff's deputy and a corrections officer used their vacation time to help Sandy victims in New Jersey earlier this month.

They shared their pictures and stories with Four In Your Corner's Colleen Hogan.

No heat, power or running water; that was the best case scenario for tens of thousands of people affected by the storm. At worst, people died and homes and memories were destroyed. But helping those affected, were two Charlotte County emergency workers.

There are times when it is surprising that he has any friends at all. But thankfully he does have a few. He drives a Dodge Stratus. People respect him, except at home.
